Hunting Bullets
Barnes: The exceptional accuracy and penetration of the 127gr LRX makes for an excellent big game bullet in the PRC. The best lead-free choice!
Berger: 140gr Elite Hunter & 156gr EOL. Both bullets offer exceptional terminal performance and excellent accuracy. Combining both a secant and tangent ogive, they are very forgiving and less sensitive to seating depth than VLD bullets.
Hornady: 143gr ELD-X offers excellent terminal performance and accuracy, always a good choice!
Norma: The new 143gr BondStrike is a high BC bullet with a bonded jacket/core. It is exceptional for large game, offering deep penetration and excellent expansion properties.
Nosler: Accubond provides great accuracy and the deepest penetrating bullet in it’s class.
Sierra: Gamechanger (TGK) This new bullet from Sierra is quickly becoming a favorite in the hunting community, offering excellent terminal performance on deer size game.
Paper & Steel
Berger: 140gr Hybrid and 140gr LR Target offer a high ballistic coefficent and deliver consistent accuracy in almost every rifle.
Hornady: 140gr & 147gr ELD-M offer top notch accuracy and performance with highest in-class BC’s. 135gr & 153gr A-Tip is the pinnacle of long range bullet design, they are quickly earning a reputation at the top of the heap!

We have been shooting the 127 gr Barnes LRX. The accuracy from our Weatherby has been superb and the performance has been devastating on elk. We’ve had passthrough lung shots at 500+ yards and have taken several cow elk with neck shots at 300+. Our family has also shot numerous whitetail and mule deer at all ranges. This is an excellent option for this chambering. Hendershot’s has impressed us with this accurate and consistent load.
