These loads are optimized for bolt action rifles. Please contact us if you are purchasing this caliber for the Savage Model 99 so we can adjust the load accordingly.
Please note – The Berger 140gr VLD is loaded to an overall length of 2.950″, and the Hornady 150 ELD-X is loaded to an overall length of 3.000″. if you have a rifle based on short action magazine box length of 2.820″, the VLD and the ELD-X will not cycle through the magazine box. 284 W with 140 Nosler B.T.. This ammo shots great, sub-par MOA @ 200 yards, better then 2 loads I worked up on the fly myself. My youngest harvested 3 Texas whitetails with this load in 23… I was so impressed, I purchased additional rounds from Hendershot. Keep up the good work….
